General

For the same reason doctor and dentist check-ups are necessary: for better health! Skin is a living part of your body (your largest organ, in fact), that defends against environmental assaults and extreme temperatures. It helps eliminate toxins from the body, and it is continually renewing and protecting.

To look and feel its best, your skin needs personal attention from a professional. Coslab features professional skin therapist, who are highly educated skin-health experts. They have the answers to your most pressing skin-care concerns and know how to deliver real, visible results. They are trained to deliver professional skin treatments that will target your specific needs, and prescribe the products that will help maintain your optimum skin health at home and in between facials.

Not all rooms come with lockers to safe keep your clothing and other personal belongings, so please highlight to the staff if you want to lock your items beforehand. There are designated areas to put your belongings in every room. However, it’s best not to wear jewelry to your spa treatment if possible. The jewelry will get in the way of your having an effective treatment. Also, do not put your jewelry in your robe pockets as this is a sure way to forget about and lose your items.

Spas aim to be a quiet sanctuary where you can escape from modern life and are for that reason, cell phones should be turned off or put to silent mode. It would therefore not be a good idea to hold onto your cell phone.

No. You should never drink alcohol before or immediately after a spa treatment as it will result in an adverse effect on the body. Massage therapists recommend not to drink alcohol 12 hours before and after a spa treatment to let the effects of the treatment settle in.

Licensed massage therapists will typically refuse to work with a customer who is visibly intoxicated.

Most spas will provide you with a robe and a pair of slippers and what you wear underneath is up to you. You need to understand the kind of treatment you will be having – for hydrotherapy treatments a bathing suit is appropriate, whereas for a full body scrub you won’t need clothing. For other massages such as a Thai massage, you just need to wear comfortable clothing.

Our spa consultant will help you plan the perfect spa experience, including the best order in which to enjoy your treatments.

Arriving late will shorten your treatment. Please remember that your treatment must end on time to prevent further delays, regardless of how late you start.

Depending on the type of treatment(s) you have chosen, you may be asked to fill out a Spa Health or Beauty Questionnaire. Please take the time to answer all the questions thoroughly and alert our Spa Receptionist to any medical concerns and/or physical ailments you may have.

Please notify our Spa receptionist before booking your treatments if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any other physical ailments or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you have any concern at all, please let us know. If at any time during your services you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.

Please inform our Spa Receptionist upon scheduling your treatment. We have treatments suitable for expectant mothers after their first trimester. Alternatively, we can assist with selecting available services for you such as facials, manicures and pedicures.

They are female therapists that have a minimum experience of 5 years and are certified in all types of full body massage, foot reflexology and back, neck and shoulder massage.

Yes, you may puchase product on our e-Store. Online purchases entitled you to earn reward points.

Unfortunately, massages are strictly for females. However, we do cater certain services to males such as facial treatments and eyebrow shaping.

Massage

Disposable panty and shower cap will be provided. You will be properly covered or draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed. No areas will be exposed without your consent. You should always let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable for any reason during your massage session.

Massage therapy is a recognized health care option that positively contributes to one’s general health and wellness and also works the body’s soft tissue to help relieve pain and stiffness associated with stress, tension, injury and other conditions. It brings many benefits to our muscles, connective tissues, tendons and ligaments—in terms of managing, pain, injury, stress and tension levels.

In general, you should not eat before having spa treatments. If you are hungry, you could maybe have a small snack such as some fruit or a cup of tea but nothing more than that. If you eat, you risk getting nauseous during your treatments.

We can input a request for your preferred therapist. We work as a team of therapist to accommodate for unpredictable scheduling from all our clients and we cannot promise that you will be assigned your choice of therapist.

For request of change of massage therapist, just let the receptionist know about your preference.

Facial

Yes. A deep cleansing service is always provided and will remove any dirt, oil or debris from your skin.

A regular facial routine is more about skin health and maintenance than it is about luxury or pampering, although many do find it to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Facial services help increase circulation and stimulate the skin. They can also help slow down premature aging and drastically improve conditions such as acne, redness and rosacea. Facials are a great preventative treatment to help you beat wrinkles before they occur, and can also help you achieve lighter, brighter, younger-looking skin.

In addition to healthier skin, many men enjoy regular facials to help minimize irritation, redness, ingrown hairs, and razor burn associated with shaving.

Since facials are designed to work on your skin from the neck up, you may want to plan on removing your makeup or pulling long hair back. Cosmetics can be reapplied after the service; feel free to bring them with you.

Men should be clean shaved unless bearded.

Other than these few easy steps, simply be ready to relax and enjoy yourself in our private, comfortable facial room.

Most of our treatments are all very relaxing and refreshing! Facial Extractions may sometimes cause slight discomfort, but is necessary to clear out impurities that clog pores. Speak to our friendly therapist to find out more – we may just be able to find the perfect solution for you!

Some people see results immediately, and your skin should feel different
right away. The skin feels clean, smooth, hydrated, and reflects a new level of health that’s visibly noticeable.

If the skin has more advanced long-term needs, such as treatment of skin aging, acne or hyper-pigmentation caused by hormonal fluctuations or sun damage, results may not be immediately visible; however, skin health will continue to improve as you follow the advice of your professional skin therapist, and continue the recommended home-care regimen.

Generally, facials are recommended once a month. However, you can discuss your specific needs, desired outcomes and schedule with your skin therapist. Also be sure to ask about our facial packages, and save when you purchase and book your regular facials in advance at Coslab.
