Sebum

Sebum – This oil substance is produced by the sebaceous glands. Sebum helps waterproof the skin and forms a layer on skin that keeps water in and irritants out.

Epidermis

Epidermis is a fancy word for Skin. There are three layers from the most outer layer – Epidermis, Dermis and Hypodermis.

Epidermis – the outer layer of skin that – acts as a barrier between the body and the environment. Stratum corneum, uppermost layer, is made up of corneocytes, commonly known as dead skin cells, forming skin’s barrier.

Dermis

The middle layer of the skin housing nerves, glands, essential proteins, enzymes, and blood cells, in simple term it is the operation department. Contains collagen and elastin which provide support and structure to skin.

Sebaceous glands

Sebaceous glands located at the root of the hair follicles, these glands produce oil. This oil, or sebum, lubricates and waterproofs the skin and hair.

Collagen

An essential protein that lends support to skin and gives it structure. It is one of the “building blocks” of skin’s foundation. The breakdown of collagen leads to fine lines and wrinkles. Sun exposure (ultraviolet rays) is the number one cause of collagen damage.

Elastin

Elastin is an essential protein that gives skin the ability to “bounce back” after stretching. The breakdown of elastin leads to sagging skin. Sun exposure and repeated facial expressions damage elastin.

Hypodermis

Hypodermis – the inner layer – lies below the epidermis and dermis and comprised mainly of fat, blood vessels, and nerves. This layer acts as a cushion that also insulates the body.

Defend by Hydration

Once the first layer of defense is weaken, big part of moisture will be loss. Sun exposure then harmed and drained our skin moisture level. Leading to a breakage on the skin wall, allowing the bacteria, viruses, toxin to penetrate easily.

The best solution is drinking lots of water. By that, it means letting your skin drink up. Power Hydro Mask is proven clinically to repair damaged skin and allow high level of moisture retention in five days.
